The online registration to the 4th Tartu City Marathon’s children’s event is open from today, September 28th on website www.tartumaraton.ee. Around 3000 young runners are expected to participate. The event takes place on this Saturday, October 3rd.
The 4th Tartu City Marathon children’s races are held in the heart of Tartu. The start of the distances (400 m, 600 m or 1 km) is given on Uueturu street, in the Tartu Kaubamaja parking lot and courses run along Küüni or Ülikooli street with the finish in the Tartu Town Hall Square. The first start is at 10 AM and the last at 10:40 AM.
Children’s event is free of charge. The pre-registration online is open until this Thursday, 5 PM. It is also possible to register on October 2nd in the race center in the Town Hall Square or on the day of the race, until one hour before the race start.
The 4th Tarty City Marathon children’s event is the last stage of the Tartu Maraton Mini Cube 2015 sports series held for children. To finish the series, children must complete at least four events out from six. So, everyone who have finished at least three events this year, are especially welcome to join the Tartu City Marathon children’s races on this Saturday!
In addition to the children’s event, the main races of the 4th Tartu City Marathon are also held on this Saturday: the 42,2 km, 21,1 km and 10 km distances along with Tartu Student Marathon where the fastest university and best costume will be ascertained. All these distances welcome also around 3000 runners.
