The registration for the SEB 8th Tartu Rulluisumaraton’s children’s events is now open
On this Saturday, August 23rd, the TILLUrace and MINImarathon of the SEB 8th Tartu Rulluisumaraton (Inline Skating Marathon) take place in Tartu, Estonia. Both pre-school and school children are welcome to join the 500 meters and 3,4 km long distances. The registration online is now open.
„No doubt, it is the most popular inline skating event for children in the area. We are expecting around 500 participants,“ said Kunnar Karu, the race director of the SEB 8th Tartu Rulluisumaraton. „The number of participants is relatively small, comparing with the other Club Tartu Maraton children’s events. However, it doesn’t mean the children’s faces are less happy. We give the most of us to make sure inline skating is prospering in Estonia and has great hopes for the future.“
The children’s events are free of charge. Every finisher recceives a medal, diploma and a bag of goods. It is not a competition, every child has a bib with number 1.
It is recommended to pre-register to the event on Club Tartu Maraton’s website. The pre-registration for the children’s event is open online until Thursday, August 21st, 5 pm (Estonian time). After that, it is possible to registrer on the day of the race on the spot.
The start for the TILLUrace (500 m) is at 4 pm, for MINImarathon (3,4 km) at 4:30 km in Tartu, at the crossroad of Narva and Kruusamäe streets. Before the races, at 2 pm, all children can take part in the inline skating school, also free of charge.
