This year the Tartu Maraton’s live webcast is longer than before due to the changes on the marathon’s programme. Live webcast can be seen from our website.
Elite race’s (34 km) live webcast starts on Sunday at 8.45 am. There are also two amateurs’ races on Sunday at 11 am (34 km) and 14 pm (both 34 and 16 km) and these races have both Estonian and English commentaries. Estonian commentators are Peeter Liik and Robert Peets, English commentators are Teemu Virtanen and Riho Järvelainen.
In addition, there is also a livestream from three Saturday’s amateurs’ races at 9 am, 12 pm and 15 pm. Distances for the starting groups are the same as Sunday’s. On Saturday’s live webcast there is no commentary.
The live webcast of the marathon is a part of a bigger project concentrating on the foreign marketing of Tartu Maraton during 2017–2019. Other activities included into the project are for example designing the mobile app for the marathon, organizing press trips for foreign journalist and introducing the event in the ski expos of other international marathons. The three-year project is granted from the funds of the European Regional Development Fund.
