Reinis Znotins (LAT) won the 15th Tartu Inline Skating Marathon for the second year in a row. For the first time, Anna Muzyka (UKR) won the overall victory among women.
Reinis Znotins separated from the group of leaders already before the first service point (13.4 km from the start). Znotins crossed the finish line alone (end time 00:57:52.7). Kaspar Kaljuvee (EST) was the second one to finish (+00: 58.4) and Mart Markus (EST) was the third one (+01: 08.5).
Kaspar Kaljuvee told that the main group tried to respond to Znotins attack at the very beginning of the race, but the Latvian was very strong. Kaljuvee also managed to get away from the group before the Vahi service point (30,2 km from the start). "It was difficult, but my teammates helped and I was strong enough," he explained. "I am satisfied with today’s race. Znotins was just stronger today," he added.
