Tartu Inline Skating Marathon took place today for the 14th time. Reinis Znotins (LAT), won the race for the third time (last time was in 2018). For the first time Kristiine Kalev (EST) took the victory among women.

This time the highest podium places weren’t clear until the finish line. The first one to cross the line was Reinis Znotins with a winning time of 01:08.01,9 who beated Gabriele Galli (ITA) and the first Estonian Kaspar Kaljuvee.

„The hardest part was in the middle of the race – we rode uphill and there was very strong wind. I had to ride tactically. Overall it was quite a hard race,“ told Reinis Znotins, the winner of Tartu Inline Skating Marathon.

In a bigger group there were two women, one of them Estonian Kristiine Kalev and the other one Latvian Agate Priedite. Kristiine Kalev took the overall women victory for the first time (overall 20th today, 01:15.32.9). Agate Priedite was the second (23., +00.02) and Enel Kõrva the third one (40., +04.18) among women.

“It was quite hard to ride with a group of strong man. Also strong wind made the race much harder. I had to keep an eye on the Latvian girl (Agate Priedite who took the second place). A positive side with riding with man was of course the fact that I didn’t have to lead the group,” said Kristiine Kalev.
