Legendary road race Tartu Rattaralli, which has delighted cycling friends from Estonia as well as several neighbouring countries for almost four decades, will take place as a virtual race this year. In order to offer the joy of participation for cyclists with different skills and riding experience, the third and shortest distance will be added among the race distances.

"For many years now, the legendary Tartu cycling race has brought thousands of cycling fans to the start in the last weekend of May. In today's situation, where sports and mass events are prohibited, we want to continue the rally tradition, but at the same time we must do it in the safest way for everyone,” says Indrek Kelk, the Race Director of Tartu Rattaralli.

Participants can choose between three distances. In addition to the traditional 128 and 58 km tracks, there is also a new and the shortest distance of 25 km. It is up to each participant to decide where to ride. “Everyone can choose their favourite place to complete the selected distance - it can be also all alone close to your home district,” explains Kelk.

The selected distance must be completed within the two weeks period between April 29th to May 14th and the cycling log sent to the organisers. All virtual riders will be awarded with a magnificent medal of Tartu Rattaralli.

Race regulation and specific details are currently under development. The organisers will provide more info about the virtual race of 39th Tartu Rattaralli as soon as possible.
