Tartu Maraton’s organizers decided today that one of the most prestigious skiing marathon’s in the world will be held on the classical 63 km course.

This year’s winter in Estonia has been the best since 2013 and although last week’s weather has decreased snow on the track, the marathon will still take place as planned.

„Looking at the current situation on the track and weather forecasts, we believe that the course and the parking lots (at the service points and finish) will remain in acceptable condition,“ Race Director Indrek Kelk said.

As of 13th of February, a total 4810 skiers have registered for the 46th Tartu Maraton’s main races, which is approximately 1200 more than last year.

46th Tartu Maraton will take place on Sunday, 17th of February. 63 km distance (CT) will start at 9.00 in Otepää, shorter 31 km distance (CT) will start from Arula at 12.30. More info about the marathon HERE.
