On this Saturday, 27th of May, the 36th Tartu Rattaralli’s cycling events for children will be held in the city center of Tartu, where nearly 4000 participants are awaited to take part in. There will be plenty of exciting activities for everyone.
The first start of the TILLUraces will be given at 11 AM at the beginning of the Turu street. There will be an opportunity to choose between 500 m and 1,1 km long distances, which run along the Turu street. MINImarathons' tracks of 5,2 and 7,6 km also pass Supilinn and Karlova districts. The car traffic will be closed during the races.
No winners are declared. However, all children will receive a medal, a diploma and a small bag of prizes.
The participation is free of charge, but registration is mandatory. Pre-registration online is open from Monday, 22nd of May until Thursday, 25th of May at 5 PM. On May 26th, registration is open in Tartu Rattaralli’s race center in front of the Aura water centre and it is also possible to register on the day of the race before the first start. There will be trampolines by Lõunakeskus in the children's events. In addition, there will be Sportland's sales tent, Meie Mari's pancake cafeteria, Balbiino's ice cream kiosk, Lastefond's tent with an opportunity to play there and the candy floss kiosk. AHHAA's science theatre will be performing for children and different souvenirs of Club Tartu Maraton will be sold in cooperation with FIFAA. As a good surprise, the Estonian Road Museum will put up a pop-up traffic city, where children can ride with pedal cars, scooters and running bikes.
Before the children's events, on Friday, 26th of May there will be held something, which has never been in the program before – a popular bicycle ride of Tour d'ÖÖ as a warmup race of the 36th Tartu Rattaralli. A day after the children's events, on Sunday, 28th of May, the main races of the 36th Tartu Rattaralli will be held with the distances of 62 and 135 km.
