This year the 36th Tartu Rattaralli will take place on the 28th of May. Both longer and shorter distance will be held on a similar course to the 33rd Tartu Rattaralli, which took place in 2014.

As in 2014, this year Tartu Rattaralli’s longer distance (135 km) will start on the route Tartu – Pangodi – Otepää – Hellenurme. After Hellenurme, though, riders won’t go through Elva, but instead to Pangodi and from there to Nõo and back to Tartu. Shorter distance’s (62 km) main change is also that the course won’t go through Elva.

„This year’s course is different to last year’s, but similar to the classic track, which has been used many times in Tartu Rattaralli,“ said race director Indrek Kelk. „Course is in almost perfect condition, with only a couple of places needing some roadwork. Still, it should be a smooth ride!“ he added.

Kelk said that yearly changes from one course to the other are made to give riders variety and comfort to both cyclists and daily traffic participants. „Changes are made to disturb daily traffic as little as possible and also we like to offer our cyclists as interesting and safe journey as we can,“ said Kelk.
