AHHAA Science Centre’s different exciting experiments can be seen on Saturday, 25th of February at 44th Tartu Maraton’s children’s races. Events will be held at Tähtvere Sports Park’s tracks of artificial snow.
"We see how science and different experiments make children gleam. Therefore, we decided to come and cheer them along the course with our science theatre. We'll see how bangs and smoke clouds encourage young athletes," said AHHAA's communications and marketing manager Mathis Bogens.
According to Bogens, sport and science are very closely related. "None of the ski waxes or the grip would be the same if a large number of scientists would not have put a lot of work into it. That is why AHHAA will come to the TILLUrace and MINImarathon- to show how sport and science go hand in hand."
AHHAA's experiments can be seen from 11.30 am to 13 pm. The first start of the children’s races is on Saturday at 11 o'clock at TILLUrace's 400 meter distance for the smallest sport lovers. In addition, there is an 800 meter track for slightly older children. The distance of MINImarathon is 1,4 kilometers.
Registration for children’s events opened on Monday, 20th of February. Online registration is open until 17 pm on this Thursday, February 23rd. Registration is also open at the race centre ERM (Estonian National Museum) on February 24th from 12 pm to 21 pm.
