Tartu Inline Skating Marathon (Tartu Rulluisumaraton) celebrates its first round birthday and the event’s programme will start on this Saturday, August 20th in Tartu. Online registration to the children’s races opens today on Monday, August 15th on the Tartu Maraton website.
The day starts at 2 PM in Tartu, near the crossroad of Narva street and Kruusamäe street, with the inline skating school by Rullibuss. All children in different ages and with all type of skills are welcome to join. In the inline skating school, professional teachers will teach children how to skate, they show different tips and tricks and everyone can practice their skills. At 4 PM, first start for TILLUrace (500 meters) will be given. At 4.30 PM, the MINImarathon starts for 3.4 km long distance.
Kert Keskpaik, three-time winner of the Tartu Inline Skating Marathon, recommends the children’s event because it’s fun, cool and offers many positive emotions. He stated that children should try many different sports and while being young, it’s much easier to learn how to skate while doing it as a grown-up. Thus, all children, pre-school and school aged, are very welcome to enjoy this emotional and fun day!
All participants of the children’s races will receive a medal, a diploma and a small bag of goods. Event is free of charge. Registration is mandatory.
