This year’s Inline Skating Marathon is going to host a Venezuelan Sebastatian Paredes Tigreros, who won last year’s Under-19 World Roller Speed Skating Championships.

He is going to compete for the first time on a Tartu Inline Skating Marathon’s road, but it is not his first time competing in Estonia. Tigreros really likes Estonian races, because everything is different from Latin-America. A young sportsman is a member of Uus Maa team, who makes it possible for him to compete in Estonia. We asked from Tigreros what  does he know about Estonia. “The colours of Estonian flags and it is really, really cold there,” says Tigreros.

Tigreros has set high goals for Tartu Inline Skating Marathon. “I think that the victory is my main goal, I always want to win, speaks Tigreros. He does not underestimate other participants and takes preparations for the competitions really seriously.

The Venezuelan flag has waved on Tartu Rulluisumaraton’s winners’ rostrum before – even for three times. Estonian inline skating’s audience should remember Alfredo Moreno, who won Tartu Rulluisumaraton in 2009, 2011 and 2013.

Moreno has mentored Tigreros and given advice to him during his whole career in inline skating. “I think that I won World Championships thanks to Alfredo’s tips and advice,” says Tigreros, who wants to win this year’s inline skating marathon to make Mareno feel proud.

Tigreros finds that all the people, who are interested in sports, should take part in the inline skating marathon – not only people who are doing it on a professional level. He thinks that everyone should participate and be part of this sports event, because races like this give a lot of value to our lives. In addition, racing helps to improve the physical condition. “Inline skating is something really elating, something really beautiful,” adds Tigreros.
