Over 5000 skiers registered for the 43rd Tartu Maraton


5062 skiers have registered for the 43rd Tartu Maraton which takes place on the 15th of February. Last year at the same time, the number of skiers registered was over 6000.

But compared to last year, snow conditions in Estonia are better. Last year Tartu Maraton had to be cancelled because of poor snow conditions. This year the 63km course is fully prepared according to the latest info.

Best conditions are in the Harimägi region and in the start at Otepää. Worst conditions are in the last 15-20km where its better to use older pair of skis.

Classic tracks are available also only in Otepää and Harimägi. Rest of the course is available in free technique at the moment.

Tartu Maraton celebrates its 55th anniversary this year. Registration for the Anniversary Tartu Maraton taking place on the 15th of February is open and early bird prices are available until 25th of January – 50€ for the longer distance and 30€ for the shorter distance.

Registration is also open for the 4th Tartu Relay Marathon taking place on the 8th of February and Open Track races taking place on the same day.
