Tartu Mini Complex Event’s last stage takes places on this Saturday
On this Saturday, September 20th, the Club Tartu Maraton sport events series for children, Tartu Mini Complex Event 2014, arrives to its final stage with the SEB 17th Tartu Rattamaraton’s (MTB) children’s races.
In this series, the legendary skiing Tartu Maraton’s, running Tartu Jooksumaraton’s and cycling Tartu Rattaralli’s children’s events, are included. This year, due to lack of snow, the skiing marathon was cancelled. Thus the series, is with three stages.
“This year’s winter brought sad news not only for grown-up skiers, but also for the smaller ones, as they are more often keen on going outside to have fun in the snow,” said Kunnar Karu, the project manager of the SEB 17th Tartu Rattamaraton. “I’m happy, nevertheless, there are so many children who have taken part in other events. Hopefully, their enthusiasm has infected their friends and family to be active in any field of sports - running, biking/cycling, inline skating. Over 1700 children have participated in the two stages of the Tartu Mini Complex Event. I’m sure many of them will participate in the third stage as well.”
Last year, 722 children participated in all stages of the Tartu Mini Complex Event.
On October 4th, the season will find its end in the 3rd Tartu City Marathon when over 2000 children will run in the heart of Tartu city.
All children’s events organized by Club Tartu Maraton are free of charge. Every child receives a medal, diploma and a bag of goods. It is not a competition.
The registration for the SEB 17th Tartu Rattamaraton’s children’s events is now open online until Thursday, September 18th, 5 pm (Estonian time). It is also possible to register on the day of the race on the spot.
