SEB 8th Tartu Inline Skating Marathon has the strongest elite participants ever
This weekend is the time for the SEB 8th Tartu Inline Skating Marathon and this year the level of elite participants is stronger than ever before in the history of event.
„We have a total of six past winners of the SEB Tartu Inline Skating Marathon participating this year,“ said director of the race Kunnar Karu.
Alfredo Moreno from Venezuela has won three times in Tartu – 2009, 2011 and 2013. This year he has to compete with strong skaters from Poland. Winner from the 2012 Bartosz Chojnacki will also be on the starting line on Sunday.
Additionally all the best skaters from Estonia will be present. Including both Estonian winners of past SEB Tartu Inline Skating Marathons – Danila Ruusu and Kert Keskpaik. Both said that their goal is to win the race.
Last years fastest women Marina Zueva from Belarus will also be competing this year. She will go up against three time winner Enel Kõrva from Estonia.
A total of 1027 people have registered for the Sundays events so far. 683 for the longer 42km distance and 344 for the 21km distance.
