The 1st Tartu Teatemaraton was successful!

On the 12th of February the very first Tartu Teatemaraton that is skiing competition for teams was held. The race was more successful than organizers dared to hope - 105 joyful teams took part in the race. Madis Lepajõe, one of the initiators of the new competition is sure that Tartu Teatemaraton will become a tradition: “This year we had over 100 participants, I am sure that next year there will be already over 200 teams.”
The winner of the race was team SK Biathlon and the unofficial winning time was 2:44:15. Second came team Team TT and the award-winning third place went to team Haanja Rattaklubi.
The skiers were in a good mood and they all had positive emotions after the 1. Tartu Teatemaraton race: "All is well, everyone's happy," said Marten Kaldvee , the member of the winning team and promised to come back to protect the victory next year.
On the same day the 41st Tartu Maraton Open Track Races (that belong to the calendar of Worldloppet ) and Tervis Pluss 11th Ladies Race were held.
