Official training of the SEB 30th Tartu running marathon hosted over 300 participants

On 23rd of April over 300 friends of Tartu running marathon gathered to open the birthday program of the running marathon together. As the marathon turns 30 on the 13th of May this year the training was held in retro style. The official training also opened programme of spring marathons of Club Tartu Maraton. As said before, the training was held in retro style and retrofeeling was brought on by retro music while warm-up exercises, people who were dressed up and of course by the legendary course of Tartu Maraton.
Kunnar Karu, the Race Director of the 30th Tartu Running Marathon appreciates that so many people came to celebrate the opening of birthday programme: “I am so glad that despite that it was a bit rainy today so many of you came to the official training. This shows that you are really fans of Tartu running marathon!” Karu also encourages everybody to take part in the SEB 30th Tartu Jooksumaraton: “First steps have been done for the wellbeing of your mind and body and I look forward to seeing you all on the 13th of May.”
Maarja Pilipenko, participant of the official training agrees with Karu: “Running in the wild is so great! It helps you to take care of your health and it also gives you energy to deal with everyday routine. Marathon really is pure joy!”The official training showed that in comparison to last year, the course of the running marathon is in better condition than it was last year at the same time. There are some wet spots that will be filled with chopped wood and SEB 30th Tartu Maraton will be held on a really good course.
SEB 30th Tartu Jooksumaraton will be held on the 13th of May and one can choose between 23 and 10 km distances as well between running and Nordic Walking. Registration is open on the website of Club Tartu Maraton www.tartumaraton.ee.
