What to do if You cannot find Your result after the event/race/competition?
Probably Your chip has not been attached correctly or the chip has been flawed. Please notify the secretariat by mail tartumaraton@tartumaraton.ee of the absence of Your result WITHIN 3 DAYS AFTER THE RACE adding the assumable time of Your finish and if possible the start number of a co-sportsmen You finished with to simplify working through the finish line’s video. Overdue complaints will not be satisfied.

Please make a list of the people who wish to participate (the compulsory data to add: participant’s name, full birthday, address and the chosen distance) and mail it to the secretariat tartumaraton@tartumaraton.ee. The bill will be mailed to You.

If You have changed Your mind about the distance You must also notify the secretariat tartumaraton@tartumaraton.ee and bay re-registration fee. If You wish to change the short distance for the long one You must pay the difference of the fees of the two distances in addition to the fee for changing the registration info.
Re-registration can be made also at the race centre, when picking up your start bib. Any changes must be done BEFORE 17:00 ON THE PREVIOUS NIGHT OF THE RACE.

Everyone who takes part of Tartu Maraton, SEB Tartu Jooksumaraton, SEB Tartu Rattaralli and SEB Tartu Rattamaraton during one season is included as participants of SEB Tartu Complex Event. You can register for each event separately during the season.

If I did not participate last year will I have to start at the end?
When determining the start bibs the registration programme automatically reckons the results of the 2 previous years, preferring the more up-to-date one.

LOGISTICS

How can I get to the start place?
The starts of 3 Tartu Maraton events are located in Otepää from the Tehvandi Sports Centre’s stadium and they finish near Elva in Tartumaa Sports Centre (Tartumaa Tervisespordikeskus). There are 3 options to get to the start:

1) By a specially organised transport for the participants. The special bus tickets can be purchased at the transport desk in the race centre. The buses leave from the theatre Vanemuine parking lot in the morning and take the participants to the start areas and after the finish they take the participants back to Aura Veekeskus in Tartu. The timetables and ticket prices are revealed in the pre-race transport info.
NB! No bikes are allowed in the buses! They will be transported separately by cars which also leave from the bus stops!

2) To the start by car and from the finish area to the start area by organised transport. The buses from finish to Otepää, Arula and Tartu start at 14:00 and from then on will leave if full. The ride from finish area to the start parking lots also has a fee.

3) I take my car to the finish in the morning and from there get to the start by organised transport. The timetables for the buses leaving from the finish on the morning of the race day will be announced in the pre-race transport info. Parking in the finish and the ride from the finish to start are paid.

Will there be enough buses for the participants?
The number of buses is based on the tickets bought in advance and we advise you to purchase the ticket in advance. The organisers also have a few extra buses just in case. We will do our best so that no one gets left behind.

Will my bike be safely delivered?
We have special vans for the transport of bikes. The bikes of a few busloads of participants will be placed in one van. In Otepää You must wait by the van for the organisers to load off the bikes.

Does the bus to the start place have any additional stops in Tartu?
There are only extra stops during the ski marathon when there will be special buses that will gather the participants from all over Tartu to take them to theatre Vanemuine parking lot. From there you can take the specially organised bus to the start place. The extra bus stops will be put up on the home page of Tartu Maraton a few days before the race.

Can I also get from the finish to the start area of the short distance?
Yes, You can. The buses leave according to demand.

How can I follow the race?
We advise the spectators to thoroughly look at the traffic schemes before the race. Stalls may occur in places where the road crosses with the race course. There are special parking lots for the spectators at the service points.
You can also follow the race via radio station RING FM. The frequency in South-Estonia is 101,7 MHz, in Tartumaa 104,7 MHz and in Pärnumaa 93,9 MHz. The broadcast area from Tartu ranges till Põltsamaa.
The race results are published online in realtime on website www.tartumaraton.ee

CHILDREN’S RACES

How can I register for the children’s race?
The organisers recommend registering through the Internet in advance. You can also register on the morning of the race at the start area. Registration is opened an hour before the first start.

Is there an entryfee?
No, the children’s races are free of charge.

How much earlier should I be at the start area?
We advise you to be at the start at least 30 minutes before your child’s start.

Can my child also start in a group with participants older/younger than him/her?
Next to each start there has also been marked its distance and we suggest You to rather choose the start group by distance than age, because only a parent can correctly evaluate their child’s skills and abilities. The most important thing is that the child has a pleasant and memorable experience from the race. We would like to remind you that the children’s races are not competitions and there is no special prize for the first finisher! All kids get medal and diploma despite of their finish ranking.

GENERAL

What to do if I am bound to quit/discontinue the race?
If possible notify the chief of a service point or the medics and be sure to hand your chip over to them, in return you will be given a receipt. If you are helped by your friends or someone else be sure to deliver the chip to the organisers (on the race day to the secretariat, later to the Club Tartu Maraton office).

Who can I turn to if I have lost something during the race ?
On the race day go to the secretariat which is located on the 2nd floor of the Tartumaa Sports Centre main building (during Rattaralli in the secretariat tent in front of Aura Veekeskus) or later to the Club Tartu Maraton office. You can also send an e-mail to the secretariat to tartumaraton@tartumaraton.ee. The things found on the course and near the service points will be delivered to the office in a day or two after the race. Feel free to ask because there are always more things than people looking for them.

If I do not wish to take my diploma after the race will it be sent to me by post?

All the diplomas will be available at the Club Tartu Maraton office after the race. We only send diplomas by post to people who have also requested a results list magazine to be sent to them in the registration form.

Before You phone us at +372 7421 644 or +372 51 50360 be sure to try and find the info from our home page:

*There is information about every event separately which you can access by choosing the one that interests you from the left side bar.

*You can access your earlier results by clicking on Results in the dark blue strip in the upper part of the home page. Click on Search and fill in your name. Electronic timing began with the Tartu Maraton in 1983 but an electronic data base was not created until 1994 and due to that the results from the 80’s are not complete. Paper protocols since 1980 are available for those who are interested at the office. The current race results are published under events.

*The informative booklet in the start materials is not scrap paper and contains valuable information for the participant. We advise you to get your start materials at least a day before the race and look through the information and schemes. We are sure you will find answers to a lot of the questions that you may have. The informative booklet is also available online at our home page: choose the event you are interested in and then click on Useful.

If You cannot find answers to Your questions from our home page, feel free to write to us at tartumaraton@tartumaraton.ee. During the race weeks please be patient as it may take a bit longer for us to respond. Thank You!
